Grass Track Racing (Saturday, Sunday and Monday)

In 2008 we had an entry of over 120 riders for the grass and pleasingly many were under 16 which bodes well for the sport.

In 2009 with roughly the same format we should expect a similar entry. Regrettably there won’t be any National Championships this year, however, due to the success of ‘The Rally’ we do not normally need a national to attract the entries.

If you are an aspiring track, or, for that matter, a road cyclist looking for inspiration to ride the grass, of the current top UK cyclists Evan Olliphant, Russell & Dean Downing, Craig McLean, Ross Edgar, Nicole Cooke and Victoria Pendleton, were all regular grass riders.

If you are a regular spectator, or a grass virgin come and see some of the best track racing that there is in your back yard.

Some of the most hotly contested events, are the You See Eye Championships - giving riders the chance to win one of these coveted You See Eye jersey's (shown left), made exclusively for the Rally by Impsport.

It's Back!!

While you’ve all no doubt been relaxing over the winter, the members of Maldon & District CC have been busy renovating our set of competition rollers. They have brought them back to life when members of Mildenhall CC had almost given up hope of ever seeing them used again, let alone in competition!

You’ll be able to witness the fruit of their labours when we will be using the rollers for the first time in competition at this year’s Rally.
