Grass Track Racing (Saturday, Sunday and Monday)

This year the Rally has secured two National Campionships, the Ladies 800m to be held on Saturday, and the Mens 400m to be held on Sunday. There is a possibility that World Track Sprint Champion Victoria Pendleton will be at Mildenhall to defend her National Ladies 800m crown!

To the above events will be added the Rally classics of the Tom Bray Team Pursuit, Wilf Gosden Ladies Omnium, Robinson Sprint as well as a full supporting programme to keep the riders tired & the spectators entertained.

The World Hoop Race Championship (action from last year's shown right) will as usual be held under ‘You See Eye’ regulations, as will last years successful 500m (Ladies) and 1,000m (Mens) Time Trials. These events abandoned by the Olympic committee worked a treat for Mildenhall Rally in 2005, so more of the same in 2006.

We have a new Ladies Trophy commemorating Rachel Glaister and a new Mountain Bike trophy though the events for which they will be awarded have not yet been decided.

Newmarket Duathlon (Sunday)

The run will start with a lap of the Rally ground before setting off out along public footpaths and bridleways.

Once back at the Rally, its on the bike and out onto the 2 lap cycle course. The second run is a repeat of the first.

Cyclo-Cross (Monday)

The Mildenhall Mad Madison

What happens?

Riding as part of a team of two, you will each ride alternate laps for the 40 minutes duration of the Madison.

Various prizes will be awarded on a lottery basis. Entry is by day membership to Mildenhall Cycling Club and sign up on the day at the Rally's Information Centre.

There will be a normal cyclo-cross, with free entry, for the Under 9’s (1 lap) and Under 12’s (2 laps).

PLEASE NOTE:
The Madison is not open to under 10’s.
Crash hats must be worn in all events.
